A new item on our last audit was the question "Have the Bishopric and clerks
all reviewed the appropriate training lessons on LDS.org".

The biggest single problem I have seen with audits is the monthly statements
are not reconcilled in a timely manner. If you insure that all of your
statements are reconcilled, you will probably get 85% of the audit fine. If
you also ensure your "other" category is taken care of you will hit 90% of
the aduit, if you also ensure you have proper and acceptable documentation
for all expenses (reciepts and Bishop authorization) your will have 95% the
remainder of the audit will involve how you count money sunday (a member of
the bishopric should participate), who takes the money to the bank to make
deposits, how your Bishop handles welfare interviews and funds, have the
last audit avalable, etc. you will be perfect.
Look upon your auditor as your friend. He is not there to judge, but to
help, educate and train.
Find the audit done in January and review it, the questions will be slightly
different, but most will be the same. See where your ward got tagged last
time and be sure they are fixed. Also, do a personal review with the January
audit and see how you are doing. Again, it is not a perfect match, but it
will be close.
