LDSC: Bar coded recommends

I will be imputing 1700 recommend over the next three or four months.  I am glad for a bar code scanner, especially since I have problems remembering number strings longer than 4 digits.

  Without a scanner at the stake, what's the point?  Barcodes reduce 
  errors.  If the clerk types in the number, you're asking for trouble.
  My stake ES called me tonight to let me know the bar code scanner HAD 
  arrived, AND that I was being RELEASED! (Yahoo, yippee)
  I looked at the stake screens.  It looks like you have to type in the 
  last 4 digits of the membership number, scan the barcode, and enter the 
  ISSUE date (which will be the ORIGINAL issue date before the swap. 

  I visited the Billings and Denver temples last summer.  They were 
  already using barcoded recommends in both places and gave us funny looks 
  because ours didn't have them.
