I'm at home right now and won't be near a CHI for a few days, but I'm
sure one of the sages in the discussion group knows the answer to this
question: we have a High Priest who ordained his son an Elder just
before he left on a mission, which is ending soon. The family wants to
give the missionary a plaque listing his Line of Authority from his
father on back. The HP wants to use the LOA from when he first
received the Melchizedek Priesthood and was ordained an Elder, because
that line goes back through his own father; my contention is that the
line that should be used is through that of the authority who ordained
him a High Priest since that is what he was when he ordained his own
son.
Any quick answers, folks?
