Instead of using speakers for the training, another little know option is to
use the Notes control. This is activated or displayed via the control in
the bottom left hand corner next to the sound control. When you turn this
on, the training screen shrinks and a notes, thumbnail, and search option
become available. The notes tab allows the training to be read and viewed
without sound or speakers.
Besides the notes tab, I also like the Thumbnail control since at times I
remember a specific item was in the training, but I don't remember exactly
where. Using this control or the search you can find the exact slide you
want without going through the whole training again.
You may also notice the version that is loaded via the CD (not available
online on the website) has a PDF version next to each module. Using this,
the training is available to be printed. This allows it to be used again
without have to view the lesson sequentially.
I appreciate all the options we have been given to train clerks and leaders.
These training options certainly have increased the quality of the training
and lets clerks and members do it when they have time. I have used these
lessons for stake clerk training and also had many clerks and members take
them on their own.

It is all well and good that the training lessons that used to be only
on the Internet are now installed on the Ward/Branch Admin computer.
However, they are not very useful when the standard computer
configuration (at least I assume what we received was the standard
configuration) does not have any speakers, not even an internal one.
Are we now allowed to add hardware (and/or software) to our computers?
I seem to recall this being forbidden in the past.
